Hi Brian and list:

Yes, it would be handy to fix that page numbering bug.

Cheers,
Dave

Hello. with no offense to Peter intended, I'd like to add to his
list, aas item number 0,

0: Please fix the text file reading tracking but which causes the reading
pointer to fall further and further behind as one reads a text file. I'm
sure this is related to the page number disperity bug whereby if you query
about the page number of a text file, and it says something like "page 82",
and then you use the goto page number option and tell it you want to go to
page 82, you discover that you're not on the same page you were when you
performed the initial query. I'm pretty sure this bug first manifested
itself in V2.x firmwares, and it certainly seems to continue to show its
annoying face in V2.1.0.22.

Also, while we're here, I'd like Peter's number 1 change to become a
user definable option, not a given methodology for presenting directory
information. The reason is that if Bookport can still be made to present
files in directory order, as they do now, even if it can present in
alphabetical order, it makes it easier, potentially, to diagnose filesystem
corruption problems, should they occur.

However, Item 0 is, in my opinion, a serious bug, and does detract
significantly from the reading experience, especially on long text files.
