Unfortunately, for me, the beep for the alarm isn't very useful, as my
hearing problem renders the beep almost inaudible. But that's my problem,
not anyone else's.

Little has been said about the alarm non-feature lately, but I do hope it doesn't go away in the beta firmware. It has worked well for me. The daily alarm and one-time alarm work great. I'm very impressed that the sound of the alarm gets one's attention but sounds pleasant enough and not as annoying as many accessible alarms out there.
