Hi, Catharine.

It depends upon how you are using the Book Port. If you're just using it to read Daisy books or other texts, i.e., if you're just using the DoubleTalk synthesizer, it should last as long as the docs say -- two weeks or so of reading several hours a day. However, if you're playing music, reading RFB&D books or the experimental NLS magazines, all of which are digital talking books, battery life goes down considerably -- like by about half. Also, if your batteries show twenty percent or less, you may not get very much dtb playing time whereas you'll get another day or two out of the DoubleTalk.
