Hi Don, your postman must love you *Not*. Mine doesn't like the dogs so
normally dumps and runs so by the time I get to the door he is already back
in his car and backing out the drive. When I had a book that was six volumes
long I checked with the library if they minded if they came back at
different times so I could send them back once I had read them. The library
had no problem with this so I was able to send one or two volumes back at at
a time, mostly in the bag with another braille title. This made it easier on
my mum who was the one that ended up taking most of them back to the post
office. At the moment I have four hard copy braille books and am reading two
of them at the same time. One is a book of jokes and the other is about how
guide dogs first started in Australia. I read a little each night so slowly
get through them. I have two braille books on my Braillenote which I read
when away from home and need to keep my hands busy while something else is
happening.
Well better go to bed now. I have to take my ex seeing eye dog to her new
home tomorrow (no this) afternoon. It is going to be hard but at least she
is going to a family friend so we will keep in contact and it will be better
for her. At the moment she doesn't understand why she isn't going out with
me when I go to work. The sad thing is she won't be with me for her fourth
birthday on Tuesday but the new owner has taken the next week off to settle
Vena in so it has to happen now. I have no idea when the school will be abel
to find me a new dog, they thought they had one but it turned out that it
wasn't right for me. I'm going to miss having a dog sleeping in my room at
night but I know I am doing the right thing and she will be loved at her new
home.
