Heck, I'd be interested in buying one (or maybe two) just to have on and.
Getting the machine work if/when needed would be far better than not having a
blank in the spares box. Blanks are good so folks who have done stuff
(different caliper mounting holes, , maybe a different half shaft bearing, etc)
could do same on a new blank. Plus I need to have at least one on hand to
replace the one I sold to you. :-):-)

thanks to Bob Alder. According to Don Anderson this uprite fits the SR 5&6
chassis. The #10 mark is cast into the uprite so it is easily identifiable.
Today I spoke with a foundry and I am considering having a few made using the
original blank I just purchased as master for the moulding process. The purpose
of this email is to gauge interest among the community for purchasing spares
which as you all know are unavailable.
The piece will have to be cast in aluminum as I am unable to locate a foundry
that casts in magnesium. The up side is the parts will be hardened to T-6 spec
(aircraft grade) utilizing 3000 series aluminum alloy. The down side is an
approximately 40% weight increase. Based upon quotes today I hope to be able to
offer the uprites for approximately $500.00 each in an un machined state.

SR5 / 6 uprights are the same left and right, with brake caliper tabs on the
front and back, they all could be made the same. If you can get combined order,

Yes it was expensive, $6,000 to digitize and make 2 pairs.
But, it was my only option, if I wanted to get the car back together, using the
existing suspension parts.
There are numerous generic Formula and Sports Racer uprights available if
you're not staying original.

Those are beautiful bits. I talked with a local machinist who informed me to
digitize my uprites and carve them out of billet would be major dollars! On
the order of several thousand of them. He suggested fabricating the uprites
using 6061 T6 plate 3/8” thick and thick tube stock for hub area. Weld up in a
jig then have the assembly cryo treated to reharden it back to T6. I’m a
pretty good tig welder but I thought if I could find a used piece I’d be way
ahead in the end.
