I think you have a laptop PC right and you are using it wireless
method.

If I am correct here I would test this notebook PC by connecting
a ethernet cable from your laptop's ethernet port to the
router's ethernet port. This is called a wired connection and is
much more reliable than wireless.

See what happens with this new setup. 

What are you trying to record? Radio stations? My success rate
is 99.9 percent here. I record mostly radio stations.

Again send the .txt files to Applian tech support for
assistance.

If you are not the one with the wireless laptop sorry.

Explain your PC setup.

Are you using any type of software based personal firewall
there. Inside your home you don't need this as your router has a
built-in firewall. Enough protection. Disable the firewall and
see how it goes.
