Thanks Mike. I may want to put on some more RAM. Like you say, some things are kind of slow. I've not needed the speed till now: not working with large media files such as these. I must say though, Replay Converter is an easy-to-use application. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike Pietruk" <pietruk@xxxxxxxxx> To: <blindreplay@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 08, 2008 1:33 AM Subject: [blindreplay] Re: Replay Converter -how long to finish job? Bob The more ram, the better the RAV converter works. On my old xp machine, I have 512 mb of ram and, upon occasion, RAV's converter struggles (and fails (or gets stuck, as yours apparently did) when too much else is going on. On my new 2gb ram xp home machine, RAV convertes much faster and with less difficulty. In no instance, on a 512 mb ram machine, attempt to run the converter's fast mode. I tried on several occasions, out of curiosity and for testing purposes, with unsatisfactory results. Converting, relatively speaking, is an intensive memory process. Glad you got that sermon converted successfully. -- To unsubscribe: e-mail blindreplay-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with unsubscribe in subject To contact list owner: e-mail blindreplay-admins@xxxxxxxxxxxxx -- To unsubscribe: e-mail blindreplay-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with unsubscribe in subject To contact list owner: e-mail blindreplay-admins@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
