I have xp with about 500 something meg of ram.
I did something wrong and have since succeeded. Thanks for the tips.
I'm still not cleaer on which file types are best converted to which.
I suspect I was trying to convert a video file to a mp3 audio without
knowing what I was doing.

When something like this occurs, I try the following:
(1) stop the failing conversion and try a 2nd and perhaps 3rd conversion.
(2) Failing this, I'd check to see if the original file was in
operational order.
(3) Try another conversion program such as Switch.
What operating system are you using, and how much ram does the pc have?
