Max,I forgot to mention that Total Recorder does have a registry patch which i've installed so I do not pick up software speech when running it. This was a problem with Windows 98 but now that I'm running XP I'm not sure how much difference the patch makes. One thing I haven't figured out is the although I have Replay-AV configured to run through Total Recorder rather than my soundcard but am still picking up software speech when I connect to an XM stream and sporadically at other times such as when the program fails to connect to the stream. Unfortunately, neither program is perfect in all respects so for now, at least, I'm keeping both on my system. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has used both as a point of comparison.

Max, replay will burn a CD of material it records. It will also record from the line in jack on your sound card so one can record cassettes and turn them into CDs with the program. I don't have total recorder so can't do a comparison. I would assume that it's emphasis would be somewhat stronger on the recording issues and so may offer additional options though can't think of what they might be off hand. One can't use the enhanced sound card feature and the record from the line-in jack simultaneously so the cassettes might end up having some of your computer speech added to the recording. Perhaps total recorder has a means of eliminating this problem.Ron Denis --To unsubscribe: e-mail blindreplay-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with unsubscribe in subjectTo contact list owner: e-mail blindreplay-admins@xxxxxxxxxxxxx __________ NOD32 2109 (20070312) Information __________ This message was checked by NOD32 antivirus system. http://www.eset.com
