I would think that roughly 30 seconds or so of vigerous whisking should combine the whites and yolks just fine. You're not trying to beat air into them. You're only trying to combine the eggs together so everything is homogenious. HTH.

Subject: [blindcooks] How to Beat Eggs Slightly

Hi, Everyone.
I want to make a custard pie, and the recipe calls for four eggs,
slightly beaten. Research on the 'Net says this means beating with a
whisk or fork until the whites and yolks are blended.

As a total, how would I know when "blended" has happened?

Thanks,
Dani
