I took CCNA 1, 2 and 3. I went to take the CCENT certification about 2 weeks ago. Getting accommodations was difficult until I was able to to talk to the right person. The testing facilitators I worked through was called Personvue, if you have a choice in testing facilitators DO NOT use Personvue. I had been trying to get accommodations since November. I had to call in legal help twice. The Cisco online curriculum itself is now fully accessible. The only thing that remains with accessibility problems is the companion program called packet tracer. Packet Tracer is used to build simulated networks. I was able to get by without using it, because i was in a lab where I had access to the real equipment. As for taking a certification itself, a reader will be needed. The program that the test is simulated in closes all other programs running on the computer system, and there is no way around that. I would also recommend extended time because some of the questions where router configuration is done can take a great deal of time. The CCENT is the first test in the series and it was difficult. I took it and received a 768, I needed an 804 to pass. I have not taken it again because it costs $125 to take, and I will be starting college in the fall, so money is tight.
