The only thing available to ":talk" to is the Amazon Fire tv that
includes Alexa that is on the Amazon Echo. So you can ask it to
launch an app or possibly a movie, I don't know.
I haven't asked it to launch a specific tv show or movie.
I suppose it would work, but with that, though, you have to be able to
push the button on the remote to use this feature, so perhaps that
wouldn't work for your friend.
But that is the only voice activated thing I can think of.
I wonder too if you have the actual Echo with that Amazon Smart plug
you could enable a skill to have it turn on your tv and then ask it to
enable a certain t v app and show.
I do not have the specific Amazon Echo, just the Alexa that works on
the Fire TV. APerhaps anyone with an exact Echo device could let us
know if any of that is possible.
