I guess that I won't get to hear the debate tomorrow night. I hadn't decided
to watch it. I didn't even realize it was tomorrow. But now I see that it
is, and it's on CNN. I never watch TV so I just pay for a basic backage
which, I don't think, includes CNN. But that isn't important. What is
important is that apparently a debate among Democratic presidential
candidates will take place and people who can't afford Cable TV will be
shut out. How is this possible? Perhaps I'm naive and every poor person
manages to pay for, at least, the Family package? Basic Cable here on Long
Island is somewhere around $16 a month. But that, plus the internet, costs
me more than $78 a month. So why aren't they broadcasting the debate on one
of the channels that's part of the basic package?
