I am wondering if that first quote was properly attributed to Jay Lenno, or if it was then did Jay Lenno take it from someone else. There is a book that was published, I think, during the 2000 election campaign. It was, If the Gods Had wanted Us To Vote They Would Have Given Us Candidates by Jim Hightower.
