It's all meaningless trivia.  Entertaining, but pointless.  "Who would
win, Joe Lewis or Jack Dempsey?"
"Could Carolina beat Seattle if they had Terry Bradshaw at quarterback?"
All of this is good for talk over a brew or two, but nothing can ever
come of it.
My thoughts regarding the question, What would other presidents do?,
are to wonder if any president from FDR forward, ever sought peace
over saber rattling.  And  if not, why not?
