Understood. Sometimes folks post to several lists with the same
message. I know that in the past some list members did not want what
they said on one list to be spread to other lists without their
permission. Obviously someone on the Chit Chat list doesn't want
their mind compromised, and they don't have a Delete finger.
So now that you're settled, what are you up to? Any plans to come to
the WCB convention in Pasco, October 26-28?
While I don't participate as much as I once did, it's good to hang out
with old friends. I've attended every state convention since I joined
the old WSAB(Washington State Association of the Blind), back in 1969.
My grandma Ludwig died the week before our 1985 convention. It was
our 50th celebration, and I was supposed to be Master of Ceremonies.
But Grandma Ludwig came first.
My guess is that we'll keep heading off for the convention until
either I head into the wild blue yonder, or the truck breaks down.
The last ACB convention we attended was in 2005, in Los Vegas. It's
become far too pricey just to gather with the same people I hang out
with at the WCB conventions.

Your voice matters in this fight. Remember in July when the Senate
listened to us and voted not to slashing healthcare and Medicaid?

know how to do right thing, and so we need to urge all of our Congress
members to stand strong and continue to vote no on dangerous proposals,
like Graham-Cassidy.
The Graham-Cassidy proposal would make healthcare more expensive and
leave
millions uninsured. The proposal also destroys Medicaid. We need to show
up in force this week to demand that lawmakers stop trying to rip
healthcare away from millions of people and stop trying to destroy
Medicaid.
Let's demonstrate our collective power and take action together to
defend
healthcare and Medicaid.
Congress is scarily close to dismantling healthcare in order to give
even
more taxpayer dollars away to for-profit pharmaceutical and insurance
companies. Many in Congress will continue to throw taxpayers, working
people and middle-class families aside to help corporations increase
their
profit margins. But, we've stopped the bill so far, and I believe that
if
we come together, we can stop it again.
Let's make sure that every phone in every office is ringing off the
hook.
It's our jobs as voters and tax payers to show our elected officials
that
there are political consequences for throwing us and our families under
