E, The questions you outlined are excellent. However, because of business reasons, I highly doubt that Bookshare staff will be able to answer any of them. While you, as a volunteer, may be curious about receiving answers to these questions, it is difficult for Bookshare's business if this data were to be released to the public. It has many PR ramifications--especially when Bookshare must use this data for grants etc. I am certain that some data will be released when subscription numbers are high enough to make it effective for Bookshare to do so. I have so many questions about bookshare. Please let me list them and perhaps I can get email answers sometime or bookshare may want to put out some kind of doc. Many thanks. How many folks belong to bookshare as members? How does that population break down according to organizational vs. personal membership? How many are repeat members? How many join for one year and then leave? How many of those who left return within the next six months? Do we know reasons for leaving? Do we know how many students make up the bookshare population in percent terms? These are just the top of mind questions I have long wanted to ask. Thanks bookshare folks. E.
