Hi, Gisela. I always use Kurzweil's Optimize feature for something like this,
but I don't know what to suggest for OpenBook. The Janette Oke books I'm
working on are paperbacks, and that's how I've found the best setting for them.
Take care.

I'm trying to scan a couple of Mary Higgens Clark novels:
On the Street where you live
  and
  A cry in the Night
They are scanning very poorly, at least for my tastes. They're paper backsand
I'm using openbook7.02 to scan. I've tried using fine reader and omnipage. I've
tried playing with the settings and I can't get a clean scan. They're readable
enough but would be a nightmare to clean up. Suggestions? Should I continue or
not? Ideas?

  gisela
