I am always interested when I read that others have
submitted a book and then someone wants to validate
that particular book. I'm guessing that when you
validate you must be reading the entire book?

I have only validated a couple of books but I don't
read the entire book when I do. I scan through the
entire book, especially looking for those paragraph
marks at the end of each line, and for anything that
Word underlines in red or green (I find that green is
often because there is a hyphenated word in the middle
of a sentence that somehow didn't get converted).

But again, is that a difference just in validation
techniques? Should one be reading the entire book for
validation? Is that why some books sit in the step one
list for months? Does it make a difference if the
validator is sighted or non-sighted? I would think
that if reading the entire book is required for
validating that it would take forever to get books
validated.
