These are both good methods for finding links quickly. There is still another one that I use for links I visit frequently, including going to Volunteer Home and Submit a Book, as well as My Checked Out Books. It works in both Window Eyes and JAWS. This method does depend on how frequently you visit any particular link and how long your browser is set to keep your browsing history. You just go through your visited links by hitting the letter v when you're on the page you want to be on. I imagine most people know about this little feature, but some may not.
When I'm logged on to Bookshare, I just hit v once or twice to go to Volunteer Home, then when that page loads, I just hit v two or three times at most to go to Submit a Book or My Checked Out Books.
As I said, your mileage may vary with this method, but if you visit certain links often, you can zip to them fast just going through your visited links.

Hi all, Kristin, excellent advice. Well written. Here is another way to do this, it's just different. It's the way I like to do it.1. Log into Bookshare.2. Use your Links List, insert-tab in WE, insert-f7 in Jaws and System Access.3. Hit v for Volunteer Home and press enter.4. Enable your Links List again and this time use either m for My Checked Out Books, or C for check out a book. If Using C note the Change Password link and just press C again.5. Then, just arrow down to the start of the list and go. Ann P. Step 1. Log into bookshare with your current e-mail and password. Step 2. Either use the arrow keys or the find feature to locate the volunteer home. The find feature is accomplished by pressing control shift F as in frank. That's if you are using window eyes and I'm not sure what the command is for JAWS. Step 3. Use the find feature again and put in the edit box, checkout a book. Or if your wanting to see your checked out books than put into the edit box, my checked out books. Step 4. Once there use the letter C as in cat to get to the first title on the check out books for proofing. You will have to use the letter X too to get to them and these are both commands again for window eyes. If anyone knows how to do this with JAWS and you are seeking more assistance than I'd ask someone else on here. Hopes that helps you out and that everyone has had a spectacular day!Kristin----- Original Message ----- From: Rogerbailey81@xxxxxxxTo: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, April 07, 2009 2:31 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: just submitted Coming AttractionsLook on the volunteer page. I'm not used to this new site yet and find it harder to checkout a book than it used to be. I'll get used to it in time. By the way, how do I find the chedckout page? I just submit books but don't proofread and I don't borrow books so I am in my own little world and not real familiarwith the overall picture. Thanks. It's kind of cute about a young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years. It's about 350 pages and should be very clean if the the awful stripper" leaves it alone. I'm sure it went through alright but I didn't get a confirming email like I always do. How can I check to see if it indeed did go through? Thanks."
