Hi, Cindy! I don't know anything keeping a blind person from using Pages, but there is the problem of it stripping page breaks to a paragraph-space-paragraph sequence, so before you do ANYTHING to a document, you need to do a global find and replace for that. If a scanner accidentally created that sequence, you would have an inadvertent page break. I see no way to have TextEdit show invisible characters, and it does not appear to retain page breaks, or if it does, they are not visible to a sighted proofreader.
