At this point, I am not sure how to find out who the submitter was. But the book is very 'text-bookish' - title is "Remarkable Providences 1600-1760" edited and introduced by John Demos. I will email Gustavo and see what he thinks. Can anyone tell me what his email address is please? Thanks again, Lea Julie Morales <mercy421@xxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Hi, Lea. Who is the submitter? I think I remember once this issue coming up when Marisa was still here, and I think she said some of their university submissions have this info in it. I'd find out who the submitter is and if this is the case with this book before rejecting it, if anyone suggests tha t. Take care. I have run accross a book that has raised in issue for me, and I'm not sure if I fully understand the information listed in the validation document regarding this issue - so I'm hoping that some of you may be able to shed some light on this for me. I've downloaded a book that is obviously an e-book. It has the following paragraph at the beginning of it: The e-text contained in this computer file serves as an alternate format to print for a person with a disability. E-text permits those who would be denied or limited access to the print version of the book to read the book. Any use of the e-text for purposes other than disability accessi bility is prohibited by copyright laws. Print to E-text Conversion Note: Each chapter, unit, or section is tagged with five colons (::::J to mark the beginning of the chapter/unit/section. Print page numbers are inserted in the text. No descriptions of non-text portions of the print book such as graphics and illustrations are provided. Not all elements of the print book were converted to e-text. ********************** Should I attempt to validate this ? Or is this type of book not allowed to be used by Bookshare?
