Hi Sue, If you have excel, it should run if you open an excel spreadsheet.

Hi Sue,

If you have Office on your computer, then you have excel, I'm betting! I
don't know how you'd find that out, being not up on that, but I know someone
here can help you find out! Good luck!

Sue,
If you have a free file opener, this would be true that you could only
read them and not be able to write in them or anything. The commands would

be different, most likely, in the file opener than they would be in Excel.

Do you have any kind of office suite on you computer?

I think my problem is that I do not actually have excel on my computer.
I downloaded a program called free file opener that allows me to open
these files, but since I do not have excel, I can only read them, and do
not have the commands and help files one would have with Excel.

Hi,

Indeed, Jaws does report which spreadsheet you are on!

Sue,
I'm assuming that you are referring to the sample spreadsheet that Scott
sent earlier. There is is more than one spreadsheet in this file. When
you
open it, you're cursor is most likely located in the 3rd worksheet, at
least
mine was. You will need to use control page up and control page down to
move
from sheet to sheet. In this case, you will want to use the control page

up
to get to sheets 1 and 2, which is where the information is located.
When I open the file WindowEyes reports to me which sheet I'm on, I
would
assume that Jaws has a similar feature, but you would need to confirm
that
with a Jaws user.

I didn't find anything which JAWS 12 recognized in this spreadsheet.
Where does the info start? Thanks.
