[bksvol-discuss] Re: book approval?

Dear Cindy,

If we know of changes that could be made to update Rui's list, is there some one we can tell? Or, is there a way of pitching in and helping maintain the list.

When talking to Rui on the conference call about a month ago, I suggested he post a weekly reminder about the list, something he could write once and put up for new volunteers or current volunteers who missed former posts.

I'm not avid about this, just curious. I must say I love lists, the more the merrier and have enjoyed cruising it. I wasn't checking about anything being out of date, but enquiring minds....

Always With Love,

Lissi

Do you know about Marissa's List? If you download it
from Rui's site, and do a Find, you can find out if
your book is being validated or is in the
administrator pool. If you give us the title, I can
check quickly for you, because Ihave it on my
desktop--well, maybe not so quickly because I'm
leaving the house soon.

Here is the URL for the lists Rui is kind enough to
keep up for us--books requested, books that need to be
re-scanned because of their condition, books that
people are validating, and books awaiting
administrator approval. Imay have left something out,
but if I have you'll find it.

The only problem with Marissa's list (named in honor
of a former bookshare employee who maintained it until
she left to go to graduate school,; I've included for
myself the name of her predecessor who started it). is
that it isn't updated frequently, so it gets out of
date quickly. Still, it's better than nothing.
