Hi Mayrie, Yes, those keyboard commands do work in 2010. There is another big plus for 2010. The spell check, at least in mine, catches words like die for the, mat for that, etc. My display will say “possible word error” and the cursor is right beside the word in question. Isn’t that great? And yet another feature: It keeps accurate track of page numbers, so if there is a soft page break rather than a hard page break, I know it because Word tellls me I am on the same page! That is why I am proofing a lot again!!!! All these great features!!! Sue S. They have always said that keyboard commands haven't changed from older versions of Word. I'm so glad to know that's true! You have a great day too! Yes, it works like a charm in Word 2010!! It does seem that if one ignores the ribbon menu for the most part, the older Word commands still work!! Thanks again, and have a great day!! Sue S. From: Mayrie ReNae Sent: Friday, June 10, 2011 12:26 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: Underlining Hi Sue, You can turn off and on underlining in any place by selecting the text, highlighting it, in other words, and pressing control plus u. That is a toggle, so if the selected text is underlined it'll be made not so, and if the text that is selected is not underlined, it'll become underlined. That works in Word 2003, and I suspect it will in Word 2010 too. Hope that helps you! If I have left out any steps, please ask again. Happy proofreading! If I deletethe numbers and type them again, they are still underlined. Is there a fix for this in Word 2010?
