Hi Lynn, This isn't going to make a world of sense to a sighted, or non-braille reader. However, the short version is that if no space is placed between the last letter of a word, and the first dot of an elipsis, the braille representation of three instances of the dot 3 is preserved. If, however, spaces are maintained within the elipsis, between its dots, the braille translator represents the three dots of the elipsis as three braille periods. So, what this boils down to is that following the print rule for displaying elipsis without a space between the final letter of the word preceding the elipsis, and the first dot of it still makes it read properly in braille, and is what I opt to do. Isn't the space before and after the ellipsis necessary for the Braille file to translate properly? I certainly thought so. Just wondering. *smile* Blessings. Should I insert elipses in the table of contents in "Rebel With a Cause"? It wouldn't be a bother. Debby At 07:50 AM 11/3/2009, Mayrie ReNae wrote >Hi Melissa, > >That's a great idea!
