Hi Cindy,

I don't understand what you mean.  Yoou said the caret and hyphen should be 
on the same line.  They are on the same line on my Braille display.  So 
could you explain, please?

Try opening up the Special and scrolling up to the
Optional hyphen while your curser is in the replace
space. It should then be in the replace space.

It does look lik what Jake wrote except the carat is
on the same line as the hyphen. In the Jake's post and
your reply the carat appears raised. Maybe you can't
type it in but can only get to it from the Special
file.
