Absolutely, Marty! I am blessed with many excellent Bookshare partners and I
hope they all know how grateful I am. I wanted to mention Vivian this time
since she does more wish list books than any of my other partners. That is
cool; taking something that is filling anthers wish as well as working on
longer
series like helping me on the Nancy Drew books, heavily along with Em Rose.

And then there is Pam Hoffard, tirelessly scanning away boxes of books I send
and newer volunteers, Sandi Ryan and Nicole Bond, as well as trusty long time
volunteers, Jamie Yates and Susan Lumpkin. And Charlene Ota's painstaking work
with cookbooks! Problem with naming names is you always leave one off and I
hate that I will forget another timeless helper.

Thank you everyone for making this the best job ever!
 Valerie

September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month
Wear a gold ribbon and spread the word!
My 9 year old son, Drew, died in 1993 of a brain cancer and in the 19 years
since there are no new treatments. Let's fight for our kids and get more
research dollars on kid's cancers!

Hello Valerie and other friends,
I just want to add my thanks to all of you too. This is one of the best
groups of people I’ve ever met. Besides Vivian, there are many others who do
scans that are great reads, and the people who do the scans are wonderful to
work with. I get as much doing the proofreading as any of the members do when
they download and read the books. It is a pleasure to work with all of you!

  Dear fellow Booksharians;

I just want to take a moment to tell everyone what a pleasure it is to
volunteer with so many talented volunteers! I just did a book from Vivian
Flores, Hope in a Jar, and not only was the book a fun and whimsical look back
at the past 30 years, but the quality of Vivian's scans is so great that it
makes it a pure joy to proofread, needing to catch only the little tiny
things. Vivian is also one of those great people who works filling wishes
from
the wishlist, and I love occasionally taking a break from my projects to do a
wish or two that she has scanned.

For all the ladies out there just wanting a light read, I loved the blurbs
starting each chapter with memorable advertising quotes.
 Valerie
