It usually doesn't in my books.

I always convert from Kes to .rtf before submitting the books.

Depends.  As I understand it and someone please correct me if I misremember,
K1000, when seeing an .RTF file, deletes blank pages.  That could mess
things up somewhat.  I do not have MS word so would have to use K1000.  What
other options would someone like me have?
