I have Jaws 9. Can I ask the dictionary to read the symbol for a page break
in the way described below? If so, how do I access the Word dictionary?
Have tried just about everything and am baffled. Thanks to anyone who can
help!

you can have jaws 10 indicate pagebreaks in word in 1 of two ways:

1. the verbosity settings has a menu item for having jaws indicate page and
column breaks and you can make sure this is on.
2. You can turn the above off and add the word pagebreak symbol to the jaws
word dictionary. the symbol is backslash 012 written like this
\012
