The pictures and hand writing will be ignored automatically by the software.
Headers are easily stripped.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: OmniPage 17 Standard On Sale!

I scan a lot of books with pictures, diagrams, drawings, handwritten text,
etc. so I often need to exclude text from the OCR processing. Also I exclude
headers and page numbers since I don't want headers and page numbers don't
recognize well.

I have played with Omnipage for years trying to figure out how to get the
scan to start without clicking scan and have been unable to do it without a
mouse.

Also in the recognition process when Omnipage flags a word, I do not know
how to get to the list to pick a word of suggestions without clicking it. I
have played with that for years too and can't do it with the keyboard--only
the mouse. Or if I want to type in the correct text, I still have to click
on the wrong text to be able to get to the place to type the new text.
