Speaking of the imaturity and just plain cruelity of todays youth. Am I bit jaded yeah, i am, but in today's paper there was a story of a Amish horse being shot in Crawford County. The paper said that the youths who had done the deed, passed the horse and buggie, turned around came back at the horse and the rear passsenger shot the horse. The driver, wasn't sure the horse had been shot till they were home and rubbing the horse down. The kids probably just did it for kicks. But to intentionally injure another creature for fun. well.... it gets my blood boiling, smile. Shelley L. Rhodes B.S. I just can't understand how unenlightened some people can be. And that had to have been traumatic for your friend as well. I know others have mentioned suing, but some things just stay with you, and no amount of money can make it better. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of siss52 Sent: Sunday, October 08, 2006 10:57 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: just sent Hero With a Thousand Faces to admin queue How cruel some kids can be! Had it not been for those kids, your first dog would have worked out. My best friend in high school got a dog before our senior year, but the school superintendent made her keep him outside in a kennel. The kennel was in the sun during that hot September, and her dog got a heat stroke and died. My schoolmates drove cars near the dog and slammed on brakes to make that screechy noise. They came up to the dog and pretended to hit it or kick it or made loud noises and sudden movements near it to scare it. By the end of the year, the dog would come home and cower behind the couch. She went back to Seeing Eye. I went back to Seeing Eye the summer before my freshman year in college to get my second dog. So I think of this second dog as the first one I had for a long time. E.
