Evan, Just be careful what you ask for. The proto personality may just decide that he needs to be extra efficient and create tasks for each volunteer. Knowing that it was your original idea to turn him into a machine,, you just might get a hundred books to scan per day. After all, the more books he has, the more books he can approve. But we're talkin' hundreds of books a day, here. Maybe Jake could work up a personality shell to give him at least a simulation of a nice guy, kinda like the way GUI's cover up all that ugly command line stuff with a pretty face. ----- Original Message ----- From: Pratik Patel <mailto:pratikp1@xxxxxxxxx> To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 8:32 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: More Than 60 New Books Approved Evan, Uuuum, interesting idea. I think we'd lose his charming personality, though. Let's be generous and assume he approved 60 books in 3 hours; that's a book every 3 minutes. Imagine if we could keep him working 24 hours a day. That's 1440 minutes divided by a book every 3 minutes equals 480 books per day. Step One would be emptied in less than 18 hours! Hmmm. If we could make him into a cyborg... What do you think, Jake, Pratik? Is it doable? ----- Original Message ----- From: Gerald Hovas <mailto:GeraldHovas@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ; bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, July 25, 2006 6:30 PM Subject: [bksvol-discuss] More Than 60 New Books Approved Gustavo's been busy in the last two or three hours.
