Hi Katie,
This feature to my knowledge is only available in KES format. Several other features are similarly restricted, many also work in DAISY as well though.

Hi Jake,

With the ignore feature I have found the following in V10.

After ignoring a number of words, applying, selecting the Okay button and
then saving the file at times the ignored words are back in the list the
next time I go to work on rank spelling. I haven't figured out a pattern to
when it does or doesn't though. Any ideas?

Hi E,
In version 10, this is also accessible via the properties dialogue of
Rank Spelling. Personally I tend not to ignore capitalized words, but then
my usual scanning is childrens lit, so there's not as great of a need.

KES files in version 10 will also retain words that you have ignored through
rank spelling. This makes it possible to do rank spelling in more than one
sitting. Handy feature, although I don't know a way of being able to see
what words you have ignored at a later time.

UYou can open a rtf in k1000 just as you would any other file. You can
use the apply corrections choice and the rank spelling choice on any rtf
files.
Those choices are found under the tools option.

Remember to do one thing before you use rank spelling. Go to spell
checker and make sure the k1000 ignors capitalized words. Once you change

that setting, rank spelling will also ignore capitalized words which will
cut down a lot on words rank spelling does not recognize.

Keep asking questions. Great program. Glad you have the demo.

E.

Hi. I now have a 30-day demo of K1000. I've been playing with it all day

and have a question. Actually, I have a ton of questions, but this is the

important one. Can I edit an rtf file inside of k1000? If so, do I need
to do some sort of save as or convert process when saving the edited file?

I'm under the impression that K1000 converts the rtf to a kes format while

I edit it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
