HI James, 

I have done some playing within the software turning callumns  on and off. I
will have to play with it more this weekend. I have found at times just
trial and error on tuff books can find something that will work. 

I am using Kurzweil V11  with an Opticbook. I am getting the words from the
side of the pages but in no particular  order. Books are funny. You struggle
with one and then, like last night, I did a book that maybe had five or six
pages that came out below the 99 percent rating. 

Any ideas appreciated!

Hi Katie,
My limited experince with scanners tells me that you can set them to tell
that you have columns and they will put the text in place properly. Does
yours do that?

HI Wonderful validating/scanning  helpers:)

Well, I got the total money makeover and it looks like I found another book
that is a pistol. The main body of the text is fine but there is a collum
of text that runs down the left side of every page that I  am having
trouble
getting in place. I can scan it if one of the sighted volunteers  would
like
to help with the editing.
