I use OB 8. I'm not sure what you mean by the key recognition thing.
I don't use the number keypad for anything when I scan. Occasionaaly
when text reads choppy I check and there's a cama there where it
shouldn't be or an extra period or odd symbol that the scanner has
inserted, but generally I don't have that difficulty. What are you
trying to do with the key recognition? Are you trying to familiarize
yourself with OB key strokes?
