Hi, Jake. I don't know about Michael, but yes, I did do a clean install. I 
always do. I don't read while recognizing or scanning, either. I do one or 
the other. I've always had this problem, on the PC and the laptop, so I know 
it's not computer-specific. Take care.

    I've never seen crashes due to reading, when I just read. I do not
attempt reading while recognition is in progress. I started with version 10.
Did you make sure to do a clean install of your current version? That is,
did you remove any older ones first, as the manual suggests?
