Jake,

When I get a crash, it is usually right after pressing f5. I'm not reading while recognition is in progress. My last install was to a laptop which had just had XP restored from the recovery cd, so there was no trace of Kurzweil on the system before I installed version 10. I then upgraded to 10.04 through Online, Check for Updates.

I think I'll try calling Kurzweil support again to see if they know why I'm getting crashes and have any advice.

Hi Michael and Julie,
I've never seen crashes due to reading, when I just read. I do not attempt reading while recognition is in progress. I started with version 10. Did you make sure to do a clean install of your current version? That is, did you remove any older ones first, as the manual suggests?

So Kurzweil 10 didn't fix that? Ugh! I was hoping to hear they had! I have
that problem with 8 and I want to upgrade as soon as we can, but I was
hoping that would be a fix I could look forward to. Take care.

No fixes for my crashes. :(

Do other people regularly get crashes when reading with Kurzweil 10?
