Sounds like something Nichole would enjoy, Lissi! If I can scan from the book
or proof from it, I would be glad to work on it in either capacity.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Free to scanner and elipses.

Dear Booksharian Friends,

If anyone is interested in scanning Fire Bed & Bone, a 126 page children's
hardcover previous library book, I'd be glad to mail it to you for you to keep
or pass on. It's told from a female hunting dog's point of view and is set in
1381 England when peasants feel driven to revolt. I don't want to proofread it
because I'm afraid it might be too sad, but it appears to be a good historical
fiction, animal book written with sincerity. I would be glad to send you a list
of pages where chapters start because Chapter One, Chapter Two, etc. are
written
in a way that might not scan well. There is a running header except on the
pages
where chapters begin. The text is clear and the pages clean.

I know it's just one book, but I regret seeing a book overlooked because I
don't
want to proof it and rarely scan. As of now it isn't in the collection.

Contact me off list if you're interested at:

Maybe its a good thing the list is quiet so people don't feel their in boxes
are
clogged, but the list feels a little like a ghost town. I hope the number of
people posting doesn't reflect the number of people keeping tabs on this list.

There were only two takers here for the braille books I gave away. My offer was
repeated on some other lists so I was able to pass along all of the books I
listed.

I don't know if VAT is still active, but I hope the quirk which is causing our
elipsis' to appear as apostrophes in braille will be fixed, especially since
we're taking care to make sure they appear as space period period period space.

Always with love,

Lissi
