Hi, Donna. If I'm not mistaken, even if it's not a translation issue, but if
the copyright was renewed for whatever reason, you always use the latest
copyright date, so in your case, that would be 1997. Take care.

  Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Copyright Question

  Hi all.

I'm cleaning up a scan of a book that has two copyright dates. It was first
published in Dutch with a copyright date of 1995 held by the publisher. The
English translation, the one I've scanned has a copyright date of 1997 held by
the publisher who did the translation. Do I list the 1997 date since it is the
English translation or the oldest one which would be the Dutch publication?

  Thanks.

  Donna
