Hi, Lori, I know about changing the font in a file, but I was curious about
the style of a book. I found out I can't tell if a word is italicized or
not. I've also run into instances where the screen reader informs me that
certain words or numbers have superscripts or subscripts on them. Really all
I'm shooting for is text accuracy, so I suppose you're question peaked my
curiosity. I wonder what these styles are all about. I should think the less
convoluted the better. I would prefer no frou-frou stuff and simplicity of
line. Mind you, I've never seen print so all of this stuff is a mystery to
me. Regards, Kim. P.S.: Good luck on your project. I hope you don't end up
tearing your hair out. I also hope you can relax. I'm rooting for you. K.

Hi, Kim,

I'm not sure what you are asking.
When I proofread in Word, I simply choose a font style (I use Arial) and a
size (I use 12). Then I do bold chapter titles. I also make sure that
paragraphs are formated n a certain way.
I suspect you are asking about something that relates to the problem I'm
having which is under the styles list. I think there is a "Normal" style
which usually comes up in books I proofread in Word, but I don't know what
it means. Is that what you are asking about?
If so, you and I could both learn something.

Lori C.
