Hi Kim,

ISBN numbers are not required, but preferred. Sometimes they don't scan,
but someone might be able to help you find an ISBN for a book. That said,
ISBN numbers weren't issued until some time in the early 1970's, so there
are scads of books without those. No worries if your book doesn't have one.
You can just submit the book without an ISBN.

If your book has a copyright date after I think it's 1972, but you can't
find the ISBN, let us know here, and we'll all try to help you find the ISBN
for your book. Often times, if that number isn't on the copyright page, it
is somewhere on the cover or dust jacket of the book and doesn't scan
readably.

Just let us know if you'd like some help, and folks will help you out!

Mayrie

Thanks, Mayrie!! That actually brings up a quick question I had. If it has
a copyright notice, but not an ISBN, what then? I have just such a book
that I'd love to scan and share, but didn't know how that worked.

Thanks!

Warmest,
Kim
