Yesterday, the 18th, I heard a Summer Tanager singing in the woods and noticed that Chimney Swifts were back. I'm 72 and a half per cent sure I saw a Swainson's Thrush in the woods yesterday, but the light was dim and the viewing was short. Friday, the 17th, I saw a Solitary & Pectoral Sandpiper at one of my ponds. Solitary is a regular spring visitor, but this was first Pectoral I've seen on my place.
