Wow! I have been away for 2.5 weeks and the changes are remarkable.
Shorebird Unit was almost dry, now is completely flooded.
Water is running from Pond Creek back into Muddy Slough.
Water is standing in 268 (River) slough.
Pond Creek Marsh is flooded.
4 Inches of rain over the weekend really added to any water already
present.
Sloughs staff was celebrating all the free water added to the
impoundments. Water they didn't have to pay to pump.
If they are missing Gray Catbirds up north, after this weekends front
passage, I found them everywhere locally.
