Saturday Jan. 8, 2005: A black and white crow was present amongst a large group of crows on the road on top of the Cave Run Lake dam (Rowan Co) on Saturday. At first glance I was hoping for a black-billed magpie - only in my dreams. I believe there were 2 or 3 white primaries on each wing and some white tail feathers on each side of the tail. The white feathers appeared to be bilaterally symmetric on the bird's body. I was driving and the bird was flying so I'm describing this bird from my 35 mph image.
