12 participants in 8 parties totaled 37 hours of observation, and identified
106 species and 3,783 individual birds. Detailed list below.

Highlights included Barred and Eastern Screech-owls, 2 Yellow-bellied
Flycatchers, 11 Philadelphia Vireos, and 391 warblers in 21 species -
including Orange-crowned, Hooded, Canada, 4 Golden-winged, 62 Tennessee
Warblers, 98 Magnolia Warblers, and 104 American Redstarts.

Unusual for the Fall count were American Coot, Semipalmated Plover, and W.
Sandpiper.

We had relatively low numbers of N. Cardinals, Rock Pigeons, European
Starlings, Common Grackles, and House Sparrows reported. (I perceive a
pattern: common species.)

We were happy to be able to reach the Falls of the Ohio (because no event
the weekend of the count), but disappointed to miss some of the rarer
shorebirds and the "Great White Heron" at the Falls of the Ohio. (It has
been observed there again since the day of the count.)

Thanks to the participants in this season's count: Win Ahrens, Pat and Jane
Bell, Carol Besse, Eddie Huber, Paul & Carol McAllister, Carol Stallard,
Matt Stickel, Nancy Vance, Mary and Ben Yandell (compiler).
