Great morning to be birding yesterday! Cool temperatures and bright blue skies. New arrivals on the Anchorage Trail included Red-breasted Nuthatch, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, several Palm Warblers, and a White-eyed Vireo. Thrushes were busy eating berries and wild grapes along with Cedar Waxwings. Nine species of warblers were found, but numbers were way down. A Summer Tanager was heard and only one Rose-breasted Grosbeak was seen by the 8 observers. Sixty-one species were tallied by the group.
