Numbers seemed low to Joyce Bender and me, too. We birded with Steve and his
entourage from about 9-10:30, but sure wish we’d been there earlier for his car
excursion, and Maple Springs hike. We missed hooded, Kentucky, ovenbird and
worm-eating and orange-crowned warblers! However, we enjoyed a rare (for us)
view of a singing male cerulean warbler. He was at the ferry road, not far from
the parking lot. We missed that bird last year. Beautiful bird! The wildflowers
at Cedar Sink were stunning and magical!
What would we do without nature? I never want to know!
