13th and final spring bird hike was great. Driving slowly on the 4 miles
down to the ferry on the north side, there was not a moment's silence. I
stopped several times to try to parse all the different songs I was
hearing. When I reported my 11th ovenbird in that stretch, eBird began to
doubt my veracity. I was never out of hearing of an ovenbird and/or
red-eyed vireo. Plenty of wood thrushes, thank goodness. Baltimore Oriole
was today's only new spring park bird
We met a fellow birder from Cincinnati and spent the morning checking a few
good areas in the park.
