Ronan,
Yes, the Big Year is rapidly coming to an end. It has been an exciting year for
us. We would literally drop everything we were doing when word came that a new
species was being seen.We added 6 new birds to our Jefferson County list. Many
exciting birds turned up during the course of the year and many birds that we
thought we would get were a no show.
The total number of species seen by all observers is 250 species. The highest
number for an individual that we know about is 247.
We highly recommend a big year doing what ever you are able to do. It's great
fun!.
Happy New Year to all,Pat and Jane BellLouisville

Subject: [birdky] Jefferson County Big Year
I was curious as to the standings in the Jefferson County Big Year with two
days left in the year. Being stuck inside with a two month old means I get my
birding fix through reading what others are seeing.
